Lois Mae Hipp, 68, of Butte, MT, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 at her daughter's home from emphysema.
She was born July 14, 1938 to Eli and Verna (Day) Lehto in Park Rapids. At a young age the family moved to Butte.
She married Lee Hipp March 2, 1953 in Butte. She was a homemaker, caretaker to disabled children and adults.
She is survived by seven children, John (Elizabeth), Joseph (Lorri), Brenda Hipp, Wayne (Tami), Leanna Schmidt, Denise (Jim) Holman and Lois Marie "Lorrie" (Dave Merritt) Hipp; five brothers, Gene (Alice), Dale (Lorraine), Neil, Russell (Suni) and Randy (Suh); five sisters, Lavada (Ken) Seybert of Osage, Linda Griffith, Janice (Lee) Vaughn, Janelle (Larry) Drepesa and Peggy (Mike) Clements; sister-in-law, Di-ane Lehto; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three brothers, James, Lester and Wayne.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, Oct. 5 at St. Joseph's Church in Butte.
Interment: Mountain View Mausoleum.
