MState Scholarships

Three area students enrolled at Minnesota State Community and Technical College that lead to high-demand occupations have been awarded $2,500 scholarships this academic year through the Minnesota Legislature's Workforce Development Scholarship program. These scholarships can be renewed a second year for a total award of $5,000 per student over four semesters.

Jessica Savela of Menahga is in the process of earning a degree in dental hygiene, Nakhi Hollingsworth of Park Rapids is studying to be an electrical line worker and Brady Lake of Sebeka is majoring in electrical technology.
