Outstanding student award

Jeri Scovel, a business student from Lake George, Minnesota, received the outstanding student award at Northwest Technical College May 5. Each of NTC's programs selected an outstanding student who consistently gives an exceptional effort for this recognition.

Concordia graduates

Several area students participated in commencement exercises May 1 at Concordia College, Moorhead:

  • Kenneth David, magna cum laude, home school/ACT, Park Rapids, majors in neuroscience and philosophy, minors in chemistry, psychology and religion.
  • Coral Johnson, summa cum laude, PRAHS, major in art, minor in theater arts.
  • Kinley Nordin, magna cum laude, PRAHS, major in psychology.
  • Maria Isaacson, magna cum laude, Menahga High School, Sebeka, major in music education.

Lake graduates

Madison Lake of Sebeka is a spring graduate of Minnesota State University Mankato. She earned a Master of Science degree in athletic training.

Dean’s list honors

Kamree Carlson and Cameron Hoyt of Park Rapids were named to the spring semester Dean's List at the University of Jamestown for maintaining a semester GPA of 3.5 or better.
