Polling places, hours and township elections in Hubbard County

Know when and where to vote Nov. 8 in Hubbard County

The final day to vote in this year’s elections is Tuesday, Nov. 8. If you plan to vote in person, be aware of the following polling places and hours.

  • Akeley City:  Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Akeley City Hall, 25 Broadway St. E.
  • Laporte City: This is a mail ballot precinct: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m.- 8 p.m.
  • Nevis City: Polls are open  from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Nevis City Administration Building, 102 Main St. W.
  • Park Rapids City P-1 and P-2: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Park Rapids City Council chambers, 212 2nd St. W.

Township election candidates and polling locations are as follows:

  • Akeley Township P-1 and P-2: Roger Geimer and Loren R. Kramer are running unopposed for two supervisor seats, and Sebrina Hagg is running for town clerk. These are mail ballot precincts: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. 
  • Arago Township: No candidates have filed for two seats as supervisor. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Arago Town Hall, 10244 County 41, Park Rapids.
  • Badoura Township: David Andress is running for supervisor and Tim Scouton for town clerk. There are also two ballot questions regarding whether the town clerk and treasurer should be appointed by the town board. Polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Badoura Town Hall, 28915 150th St., Akeley. 
  • Clay Township: Jeffrey Haukebo and Michael Lichter are running unopposed for two supervisor seats, and Kristina Case for town clerk. This is a mail ballot precinct: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
  • Clover Township: David Thoelke and Teresa Ohm are running unopposed for two supervisor seats, and Wayne Koop for town clerk. Polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Clover Town Hall, 10404 310th St., Park Rapids.
  • Crow Wing Lake Township: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Crow Wing Lake Town Hall, 13013 Blackberry Dr., Nevis.
  • Farden Township: John Nybeg and Dennis Bergeron are running unopposed for two supervisor seats, and Marie Adams for town treasurer. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Farden Town Hall, 49702 315th Ave., Cass Lake.
  • Fern Township: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Fern Town Hall, 47977 129th Ave., Becida.
  • Guthrie Township: Michael Schmidt is running for supervisor and Amanda Fallgren for town clerk. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Guthrie Community Center, 44255 Rail Rd., Laporte.
  • Hart Lake Township: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Hart Lake Town Hall, 43953 County 45, Laporte.
  • Helga Township: Kip. W. Reinzarz, Joanna Hammerstrom and Keith Kinnen are running unopposed for three supervisor seats, and Marie Adams for town treasurer. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Helga Township Community Center, 25895 County 9, Bemidji.
  • Hendrickson Township: No candidates have filed for two supervisor seats and the position of town clerk. This is a mail ballot precinct: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m.- 8p.m. 
  • Henrietta Township: Dacle L. Schmidt Jr., Gary Nasser and Russell D. Johnsrud are running unopposed for three supervisor seats, and Ann L. Lempola for town clerk. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Henrietta Town Hall, 19401 State Hwy. 226, Park Rapids. 
  • Hubbard Township: Terry Kimball and Jim Simpson are running unopposed for two supervisor seats, and Laura Kujawa for town clerk. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hubbard Community Center, 12141 County 6, Park Rapids.
  • Lake Alice Township: No candidates filed for one supervisor seat and the position of town clerk. This is a mail ballot precinct: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m.- 8p.m. 
  • Lake Emma Township: Brian Behrens is running for supervisor and Jeffrey Adolphson for town treasurer. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lake Emma Town Hall, 18264 Half Moon Rd., Park Rapids.
  • Lake George Township: Calvin Johannsen is running for supervisor. No candidates filed for the position of town clerk. Polls are open from 7 am. to 8 p.m. at Lake George Town Hall, 37137 U.S. Hwy. 71, Lake George.
  • Lake Hattie Township: Polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lake Hattie Town Hall, 42229 County 3, Laporte.
  • Lakeport Township P-1 and P-2: Keith Bartholomaus and Kay Dee Johnson-Sanders are in a contested race for a supervisor seat, while John Leo Fallgren is running unopposed for another. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Lakeport Town Hall, 160 County 39 SW, Laporte.
  • Mantrap Township: Milica Stanfel, Russ Keller and Kimberly A.Olson are running unopposed for three supervisor seats. No candidates filed for the position of town clerk. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Mantrap Town Hall, 23494 240th St., Nevis.
  • Nevis Township: Mike Spry and Trygve A. Karl are running unopposed for two supervisor seats, and Kathleen Edwards for town treasurer. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Nevis City Administration Building, 102 Main St. W., Nevis.
  • Rockwood Township: Stephen Aultmann is running for supervisor. No candidates filed for the position of town clerk. Polls are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Rockwood Town Hall, 16962 County 9, Bemidji.
  • Schoolcraft Township: Jim Card and Charlie Bumgardner are in a contested race for a supervisor seat, while John Schmitt is running unopposed for another and Stephen Booth for town clerk. This is a mail ballot precinct: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m.- 8p.m.
  • Steamboat River Township P-1 and P-2: Taylor Jay Knight is running for supervisor and Catherine L.M. Hanson for town treasurer. This is a mail ballot precinct: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m.- 8p.m.
  • Straight River Township: Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Straight River Town Hall, 11971 129th Ave., Menahga, 
  • Thorpe Township: Lorie Harrington and Isaiah Mooney are running unopposed for two supervisor seats. No candidates filed for the position of town treasurer. There will also be a ballot question regarding whether the town clerk and treasurer should be appointed by the town board. This is a mail ballot precinct: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m.- 8p.m.
  • Todd Township P-1 and P-2: James Schauer and Keith Mikus are running unopposed for two supervisor seats, and Suzanne Zinniel for town treasurer. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the  Law Enforcement Center (lower level), 203 Court Ave., Park Rapids.
  • White Oak Township: DeeAnn Hayes and Shelly Nelson are running unopposed for two supervisor seats, and Jeffrey Lindstrom for town clerk. This is a mail ballot precinct: Hubbard County Auditor’s Office, 301 Court Ave., Park Rapids from 8 a.m.- 8p.m.
