Staffers from the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) state office were in Park Rapids Sept. 20 to equip local pro-life volunteers with the latest information on crucial life issues. Area MCCL chapter members and others came together for an evening of encouragement, training and planning.

MCCL is a grassroots association of mainstream Minnesotans bound by the common belief that each innocent human life is precious and worth protecting.

Through a PowerPoint presentation, speakers presented to area pro-lifers the facts about destructive embryonic stem-cell research, Minnesota's two new pro-life laws, MCCL's upcoming programs and much more. Chapter volunteers were offered several new brochures to help educate people about pro-life issues. Fliers about taxpayer funding of abortion, the importance of medical advance directives and MCCL's Hispanic Outreach were popular among attendees.

MCCL volunteers across Minnesota are rededicating themselves to building a culture of life, community by community. Pro-lifers in Minnesota are taking advantage of this unprecedented opportunity and reaching out with compassion and factual information to the people in their counties. Their work truly does make a difference in countless lives.

MCCL is a non-profit public service organization with 241 chapters and 77,000 contributors. For more information on right-to-life issues, visit www.mccl.org .
