Transportation funds hijacked
In response to Rep. Frank Moe (DFL-Bemidji):
I agree our roads are in horrible shape and need to be fixed. I believe with the license fees and gas tax we pay already there should be more than enough money to take care of the task at hand.
The problem is the money is shifted to areas other than what it was intended for. Maybe before you talk about anything you should put "all" the "pork barrel" spending on the chopping block and get rid of "all" of it. Maybe all the "pork" should be publicized so we can all see how you spend our money.
Whether you're Democrat/Republican/liberal or conservative you have never seen "pork" on the voting ballot. Spend our tax dollars the way we intended you to do when you were voted to office. The blame is always placed on not enough taxes. That's "pork-wash." Ask any taxpayer.
