I was so pleased recently to read of the wonderful honor bestowed on St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids and the award the hospital received. However, I certainly cannot say I was surprised.
Almost 12 years ago I got a terrible call from my son, saying his wife, Sherry Keller Zluticky, had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. How devastating for all of us to hear such news.
Sherry was a patient at St. Joseph's and had initial surgery here. I will never be able to adequately convey how appreciative we were of the hospital staff. They showed such professionalism, but also were very caring to Sherry, Ron and our families. They went beyond what we would ever have expected; the staff is so deserving of the award. Congratulations to you all.
