Letters: School priorities questioned

In response to Shelley Robbins' letter of Oct. 21: Ms. Robbins' harsh response to Mr. Hensel's letter seethed with desperation. His letter voiced the most intelligent and most comprehensive view of this situation I have heard thus far in this debate.

Ms. Robbins' harsh response to Mr. Hensel's letter seethed with desperation. His letter voiced the most intelligent and most comprehensive view of this situation I have heard thus far in this debate. I certainly hope he doesn't forget us just because he doesn't live here anymore.

There have been many letters supporting the levy from outside the area that have not drawn any criticism. They won't be paying our taxes. Why does their opinion carry weight?

When we start cutting academic courses to accommodate extracurricular activities, there is a serious need to re-evaluate priorities.

It is rather immature to label every dissenting voter as a drinker or gambler. My family can't afford to go to bars and casinos, in large part, because of tax burdens that are already excessive. A night out for us is participating in the church suppers.

You misrepresent the meaning of education when you bully, threaten and degrade people to force your agenda.
