I always took for granted that our county roads would be ready for my travels whether they had snow, ice or rain on them and never thought too much about how they got that way.
After these last few weeks of large amounts of snow and spending time with my friend, whose husband is part of the awesome road maintenance crew in Hubbard County, I realize that they get up in the middle of the night, work weekends and on call for whatever Mother Nature dishes out.
This crew has an amazing amount of commitment, dedication and teamwork, so that our families travel safely.
