This was the third year that volunteers joined staff from the Hubbard County Soil and Water Conservation District to clean accumulated debris out of the Fish Hook River. Gathering at the Fish Hook River dam on Sept. 8, the group made its way down the river, either wading or by canoe, to the bridge on Fish Hook Avenue. The good news is about half the amount of trash was found this year as in past years.

A special thanks to these persons for all of their help in cleaning up the river: Anthony McKeown, Eric Mickelson, Edie Evarts, Don Sells, Sandy Perez and William Alden.
