Reader horrified by buffalo hunt
I was horrified and appalled to have read the recent "article" in the Park Rapids Enterprise of the killing of the two buffalo at the Northland "Buffalo Ranch" in Nevis.
To have the audacity to brag of killing captive, fed and helpless animals where they have no chance of escape was beyond my imagination, and to brag of it taking five shots to kill these terrified, fenced-in animals while they suffered and bled out.
What a brave man he was. And to think that we have a "canned hunt" facility where animals are "hunted" and killed makes me sick to my stomach - and that this facility makes a profit on this horrid practice.
Surely there must be a better way to make a living. It would take a "special" kind of person to participate in such and cruel and inhuman "sport."
