blood drive

Ponsford-Osage has really demonstrated that it is a town with a heart. At the Nov. 28 blood drive, 46 people volunteered to donate blood, from which 48 units of blood were collected. Eleven donors donated on the automated 2RBC machine, which collects two units of red blood cells at once. Seven of the donors were first-timers.

This is a clear example of concerned people in this area responding unselfishly to a great need; the need for blood. You can all feel proud that these volunteer donors are your friends and neighbors.

The Ponsford-Osage blood drive was sponsored by the Kozy Klan Club. Others who assisted with the drive were Hazel Eskola, Hilma Tretbar, Pat and Lucille Stearns, Vi Mack, Cheryl Breitbach, June Crandall and Pastor Ullom. Space to hold the drive was provided by the Grace Community Church of Osage.
