Amy Klobuchar, the Hennepin County Attorney who is running against Minnesota Congressman Mark Kennedy for the US Senate seat to be vacated by Mark Dayton, had her first TV ad this week. The commercial is of her touting her prosecutorial record and being tough on crime.
Crime in Hennepin County has risen dramatically in the last year - 15 percent! We should not be voting her into the US Senate with an albatross like that around her neck.
The commercial also says "Standing up for people without fear or favor. Isn't that what they should be doing in Washington?" Is her 12-year lobbying background and ties to thousands of dollars of special interest money what she is talking about? Voters need to pay attention to what she does, not what she says and vote for Mark Kennedy, a certified public accountant and member of congress on Nov. 7.
