Labels, milk caps really add up

I would like to extend a great big thank you to everyone in the community who saves labels, UPCs and milk caps for Century School.

The PTA holds a label-collecting contest in the fall and the spring. The results are in and I would like to share them. The PTA sends in the labels, codes and milk caps for money - we get 5 or 10 cents for each one (depending on the company). We just mailed them all in (44,880 of them) and after the postage was paid ($76.08) the school will be receiving $2,417.80.

Just 5 and 10 cents doesn't seem like much, but when everyone saves them, it sure adds up! I encourage everyone to save Campbell's Labels for Education UPCs, General Mills Box Tops for Education, Kemps and Land O'Lakes milk caps and proof of purchases, Tyson A+ steps 1,2,3, Fast Fixin' Home Team Rewards and the UPC from all Food Club and Our Family products.

These can be sent with students to the school (all classrooms have a collection bin) or they can be brought to Coborn's or J&B.

Also, when you rent a general release video at Coborn's, you will get a yellow sticker on your receipt. Save these too - they are each worth 5 cents.

Thank you once again to everyone who saves these and thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers who cut, sort and count all that are turned in.
