Regarding the letter, Taxes, taxes, more taxes, published May 5, written by Richard Bogaard: It appears that Mr. Bogaard took his information from the Senate Dist. 42 Republican Web site, www.mngop.com/sd42/dfl_pay_raise.html .

Too often letters like this one give incomplete information, which makes it difficult for the reader to determine the facts. For instance, Rep. Joe Mullery authored a bill to impose a 10 percent gift tax, but there is a lifetime exemption equivalent to $1 million. He also authored bills that would decrease taxes.

Rep. Tom Anzelc is not proposing a tax on dead people to finance a cemetery. I would urge you to go to this Web site, www.house.leg.state.mn.us/hrd/billsum.asp .
