It ain't over 'til the fat baby swings
We are almost there! Thank you to all of the businesses and citizens who have invested in our Heartland Park through the Egg Hunt fundraiser. With the county's offer of a dollar-for-dollar match up to $15,000, we are 75 percent of the way to putting the infant/toddler park equipment in this year. I have full faith that our community will finish the fundraising of the additional $6,935 necessary to complete the project this year (yes, we have raised $8,065 thus far). This is our park and pooling our funds together, we can make a big difference. Knowing that any donation you offer will be matched and doubled is a return on an investment I have rarely seen.
We will have a "barometer" around town with a receptacle to collect donations. Please consider offering what you are able, knowing it will be matched. Donors of $500 or more will be recognized on the sign at the park. If you prefer to send a donation and receive a receipt for tax purposes, feel free to drop off or mail to ECI, 301 Huntsinger Ave., Park Rapids, MN 56470.
