Olson for Senate
Mary Olson will make a strong senator for the 4th Senate District. Her values and her priorities are an accurate reflection of those held by the vast majority of this district. She is a native of this area and has a thorough understanding of the needs of the region.
Further, as a member of the senate majority, she would be well-positioned to have strong influence on the direction of the Legislature in meeting the challenges that lie ahead. She has a balanced understanding of the issues, is a hard worker and has the personality, diplomacy and skills to reach out to those who hold different positions.
She will work to improve funding for public elementary, secondary and collegiate education, support affordable health care for all Minnesotans, restore needed protections to our endangered environment and will work to provide the economic development needed to expand the available jobs.

As the retired president of Bemidji State University, I know only too well the draconian impact of reduced funding for education. And having served on the North Country Health Services Board for the last 11-plus years, I have seen how rapidly increasing costs and insufficient support have limited access to needed health care. Minnesota deserves better.
May Olson will be a forceful advocate in each of these high priority areas. She has my enthusiastic support.
