Discouraged
about upkeep
I live in Fergus Falls. My mother and father grew up near Hubbard. They have since passed away and I take a few trips to the cemetery each summer.
My children and I went to the Hubbard Cemetery on June 8. The grass is knee high. The water pump is in pieces and not functional.
I drive a couple hours to go and pay my respects to my family that has passed away. I have my parents there, uncles that died in military, my brother, grandparents, great-grandparents at this cemetery. This is terrible to come and see how badly this cemetery is taken care of.

We happened to have buckets with us. We planted our flowers and pulled a lot of grass from around my parents' beautiful headstone so we could see the engraving on it. My husband went to the Hilltop Inn restaurant and the man there that helped us was the kind of person that my parents said lived in that area.
He let us fill our buckets with water and helped cover them so they would not get our vehicle all wet. Who takes care of the cemetery? Who mows it? Who fixes the water pump?
It is so heart breaking to see my family's cemetery looking so terrible. You cannot see the flowers around anyone's grave because the grass is so long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
