Club invites you
to open house
The Mantrap Valley Conservation Club (MVCC) is having an open house Friday, May 4 from 5-9 p.m. in celebration of our newly remodeled building. The clubhouse is located 1.5 miles east of Emmaville on County Road 24.
The club supports local conservation and environment programs. The men are active in building wood duck, bluebird and bat houses for anyone who is interested in them for a donation.
They help the 5th graders build bluebird houses, as well as send children to Deep Portage camp. The shooting range is open to members.

The Auxiliary gives trees to all the 1st graders, sends children to camp and gives donations to the library for magazine subscriptions and books.
They also give scholarships to Hubbard County students who go to college for conservation or environmental services and are in their last two years of college or in their 2nd year of technical or community college.
They provide lunch for volunteers working with students at the Fresh Water Festival held at Camp Wilderness each year.
Help is given to play bingo with the residents at the local nursing home as well as provide goodies. In May we sponsor a birthday party for the residents at the nursing home.
Membership dues are $10 each per year for both men and women.
Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of the month April through November.
We thank those who have supported our conservation and environmental efforts in the past and look forward to another year. Any questions you may call 732-8327.
