Pat has been an active member of the Park Rapids Fire Department for the past seven years. In January 2006, he was elected president by his fellow members and appointed fire prevention officer. He is in charge of setting up and coordinating our classes with the young students of the community in fire safety during and around Fire Prevention Week.
If I need something done for the fire department, Pat gets it done. He will do the same for the city.
Speaking of Fire Prevention Week Oct. 8-14, I personally have spent several hours speaking to 2-year-olds through 4th graders about fire safety. I look in those little faces and big eyes and think how can we let them down?
