Celebrating
teachers
May 6-12 has been declared National Teacher Appreciation Week. I would like to thank the following businesses: Coldwell Banker, Primerica Financial Services, Book World, Beyond Juice and St. Joseph's Area Health Services for kindly displaying artwork from the children of Century Elementary in their windows during this special week.
The children worked diligently to complete these works of art for each of their teachers. Their eyes lit up when I mentioned that we may hang some of their artwork at the local stores and businesses mentioned above.
As a parent, I observed the excitement and joy the children displayed while working on the signs, realizing that their piece of art may be taped on a window "downtown." I felt extremely proud to see the partnership between the school and the community emerging once again.

Teachers have been a part of each and every one of our lives and on behalf of myself and all the Park Rapids school children, we wish you a heart felt thank you for all the hard work and the energy you bestow to make our children the best they can be. We appreciate all the extra hours you give and the attention you provide to our children.
