Blood drive coordinator Cindy Becker, along with Northstar Orthodontics, has sponsored another successful blood drive in Park Rapids. Twenty-six people volunteered to donate. Of those, 23 were able to give and 26 units were collected. In addition, three people gave blood for the first time.

Business blood drives like the one at Northstar Orthodontics make a regional blood program work. They put together a well-organized campaign, informing their employees of the need for blood. People volunteer to donate when they know how important it is."

On behalf of the patients who benefited, United Blood Services appreciates all of the thoughtful people who volunteered to help others by giving of themselves. Blood is for sharing: you have truly given the "Gift of Life."
