Letters: Awesome parade

I am a childcare provider and wanted to thank the Park Rapids Area High School for a great Homecoming parade.

We started our day with a football theme. The children colored footballs and helmets and then we read a story about football. We talked about the parade and what it was about. I live across from the high school and walked 10 children, ages 2 to 4, all with their very own black and orange pom-poms, to the corner by Superior Sewing to watch the parade.

What an exceptional group of students. Every teenager waved, cheered, honked their horns and waved their pom-poms at my little ones. At one point, one of the teenagers yelled, "you guys rock!" Amazingly, most of the children knew what that meant and were so excited that's all they talked about when we got back.

Thank you to Lisa for the pom-poms, Mike and Helen for use of their yard, but thanks most of all to the students of the Park Rapids Area High School. "You guys rock!"
