Article spells out
referendum point
On an issue that requires a vote, there are always those who will definitely vote "no," those who will definitely vote "yes" and those who still have not made up their mind. They are receiving conflicting information and just don't know what to think.
If you're a community citizen who has not yet made up your mind on the levy referendum vote for Dist. 309, I would strongly encourage you to read and reread the article in the Wednesday, Oct. 11 issue of the Park Rapids Enterprise titled "Speakers promote 'yes' vote." The article is long but thorough, explaining in layman's terms how changes in the state legislature have put our district in the situation it's currently in.
Many community leaders gave their views on the problems that will result if the referendum does not pass. I thought Helen Keezer from St. Joseph's Hospital board and Dianne Dennis from Coldwell Banker Real Estate made some very interesting points relating to our area health care and property values.

Please find last week's paper, read the article, honestly realize the impact that the referendum will have on our area, and then vote "yes" on Nov. 7.
