On Saturday, Oct. 25, the Century PTA hosted the 6th Annual Halloween Fest at Century School. More than 525 children in costume attended with their families. It was a terrific afternoon with games, prizes, treats and fun. A sincere "thank you" is extended to the wonderful volunteers that made this family event possible, by either working at an activity or providing a sweet treat for the cakewalk.
Our amazing volunteers were made up of National Honor Society, high school and middle school students, grandparents, school board members, athletes, coaches, Rotaract, PTA members and a large amount of staff from District 309. The success of a large event like this has a direct correlation to the volunteers at the event. We were definitely blessed with great individuals who worked together as a team that afternoon.
A special thank you to St. Joseph's Area Health Services for providing the wristbands, Wal-Mart for providing 600 cans of pop, the Humane Society for the delicious concessions, various businesses around the community that publicized the event on their marquees, the Enterprise for your continued support of PTA events, and the custodians at Century School for your extra help getting ready for the event. Thank you to all the families that attended the event, we hope to celebrate together again next fall.
