Leola Mae Sharp, 81, of Apple Valley died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at her home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1925 in Sioux City, IA. She lived in Sioux City where she sang in operettas.
She married Hubert O. Sharp Easter Sunday, April 17, 1949 in Sioux City. In the 1960s they moved to Park Rapids where she taught piano and was a substitute teacher at the area school while her husband, Hubert, taught 7th grade math in Park Rapids. They lived in Rapid City, SD, Sioux City and Apple Valley.
She is survived by two sons, John H. of Richfield and Peter M. of Apple Valley; daughter, Rebecca A. (Charles) Wolf of Burnsville; sister, Loraine Wall of Sioux City; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004.
