Law enforcement responds to report of stabbing at Bemidji school

Shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday, Bemidji Police officers assisted by Beltrami County Sheriff's deputies and Minnesota State Patrol troopers, responded to a report of a stabbing on the trail south of TrekNorth Junior & Senior High School. According to Bemidji Police Sgt. Dave Hanson, two TrekNorth girls got into a mutual altercation and one stabbed the other with a pen. The injured girl was taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, and the other girl was taken into custody. Charges are pending on one or both of the girls.
