The annual Blue Lake Association meeting will be at 9 a.m. today (Saturday), June 21 at the Lake Emma Township Hall. Doors will be open at 8:30 so you can come early and chat with your friends and neighbors.

Fish Hook Lake

Fish Hook Lake and River Association will hold its annual meeting and information fair at 10 a.m. today (Saturday), June 21 at Northern Pines Assembly Grounds.
The guest speaker will be Steve Hall from Shoreline Creations. Membership in this association is open to everyone within 1,000 feet of Fish Hook Lake and River.
There will be an election of board members and this year’s calendar of events will be revealed.
Come, renew or begin your membership and to be informed and active. Rolls and beverages will be served.

Potato Lake

All Potato Lake ladies are invited to attend lunch at Summerhill Farm at noon Thursday, June 26.

Palmer Lake

Palmer Lake residents are invited to burger night at The Outpost in Hunterville at 6 p.m. Monday, June 23.
The Palmer Lake Book Group will meet at Joyce Alwin’s at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26.

Big Sand Lake

The Big Sand Lake Association will have the annual meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at Evergreen Lodge. Lunch will be provided following the meeting. Members and families are invited to attend. Table displays will include AIS information, website, tree planting, COLA information, and more.

Belle Taine Lake

The Belle Taine Lake Association will have its annual meeting at 9 a.m. today (Saturday), June 21 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Nevis. All Lake Belle Taine property owners are encouraged to attend. Following the annual meeting, the Lake Association will host a picnic at Muskie Park in Nevis. Burgers and brats will be provided and members should bring a salad, side dish, or dessert to share.
Belle Taine Ladies will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 27 at Summerhill Farm. Members, non-member property owners, and guests are welcome. Please RSVP by email to Boo or by phone to 652-2182.

Peysenske Lake

The annual Peysenske Lake Association meeting will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Dorset Café for breakfast, followed immediately by the meeting.
If someone is not coming for breakfast the meeting is expected to start at 10 a.m. All Peysenske Lake property owners are encouraged to attend. If you have a new neighbor, or someone else you feel comfortable asking, please let them know about our lake association and this meeting.
Come, meet your neighbors, see who won the ice-out contest and learn what else is happening on our little slice of paradise.

Long Lake

n The Long Lake Area Association annual meeting is Saturday, June 28 at the Hubbard Community Center, Hubbard.
Come at 9:30 a.m. for refreshments, registration, logging history display, fisheries chat, and aquatic vegetation identification. The business meeting is at 10 a.m. with guest speaker Doug Kingsley, DNR Fisheries Area Manager. He will talk about the Straight River Trout Fishery, groundwater sustainability, nitrates and the Minnesota DNR Straight River Pilot Groundwater Management Area which includes Long Lake. Stony Lake

The Stony Lake Association annual meeting is at 11:30 a.m. today (Saturday), June 21 at Stony Lake Camp, entrance on 209th Ave.
Everyone is asked to provide a salad, hot dish or dessert. A short business meeting, election of officers and attendance prizes will follow lunch.
Hubbard County COLA

Hubbard County Coalition of Lake Associations (COLA) will meet on Thursday, June 26 at the Northwood’s Bank Community Room in Park Rapids. A social gathering will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will start at 7 p.m.
Friends of COLA and Community Members are invited to attend the COLA meeting to hear Paul Radomski talk about his new book “Lakeshore Living” Thursday, June 26. Paul is a lake scientist with the Department of Natural Resources who is currently Minnesota’s lead scientific expert on lakeshore habitat management issues.
He will be available to chat about his book during the social hour before the meeting. Following the presentation, there will be a short break to allow visitors to leave prior to the regular business meeting. You can learn more about “Lakeshore Living” at http://paulradomski.com/about/ .

Mow Lake

Mow Lake Homeowners Lake Association is holding its annual meeting at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12 at Westby’s lake place, 30215 150th St.
Please bring a dish to share. After our wonderful lunch we will have a short business meeting and then the games begin!
