Kathleen "Pam" Verna Sandberg, 62, of Menahga died Sunday, June 17, 2007.

She was born May 19, 1945 to Irvin and Verna Funk at Wesley Hospital in Wadena. When she was 12 days old, the family moved to Chey-enne, WY. After four years, they moved to a farm on the Crow Wing River near Nim-rod. She attended Dist. 21-2 country school and gradu-ated from Sebeka High School in 1963.

She married Eldred Dex-ter April 27, 1963 in the Nim-rod Lutheran Church.

In 1985, she moved to Rapid City, SD and married Jerold Sandberg. In 2003, she returned to Menahga.

She is survived by her mother of Nimrod; her hus-band, Jerold; six siblings, Dorothy Kennelly of Huntersville, Charles (Cheryl) of Nimrod, Shirley (John) Coleman of Bertha, Elizabeth (Dale) Bean of Westminster, CO, Grace (Marlyn) Horton of Nimrod and Frances (Mark) Komula of Carbondale, CO; two daughters, Lisa (Charlie) Dormanen of Menahga and Kristine (Tom) Uppman of Belle Plaine; four grand-sons, a great-granddaughter, three stepsons, step grand-children, one step great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday, June 22 at the United Methodist Church in Sebeka with Pastor Loren Ferch officiating. Lonnie Schmidt will be organist. Special music will be "How Great Thou Art" and "I Want to Stroll over Heaven With You," with solo-ist/guitarist Edric Funk, and a duet by Loren Ferch and Lonnie Schmidt singing "We Shall Behold Him." Congregational hymns in-clude "When We All Get to Heaven," "It Is Well with My Soul" and "Are You Washed in the Blood."

Honorary casketbearers: Her grandsons, Derek, Brett, Kyle and Sean Dormanen.

Memorials are preferred to Menahga United Method-ist Church building fund and St. Joseph's Hospice.
