A male juvenile has been taken into custody in connection with three burglaries in Park Rapids during the night of Sunday, July 6 and Monday, July 7.

Three other individuals are implicated and police are still looking for them.

According to Park Rapids Police Chief Terry Eilers, at about 5 p.m. Tuesday Park Rapids police executed a search warrant at a residence on North Main Avenue.

The juvenile was taken into custody there and when the search warrant was executed, items were found belonging to all three places that had been broken into, Eilers said. Among the items recovered was a purse and cigarettes.

Burglars used a rock to break a stained glass window and enter Calvary Lutheran Church. The break-in was discovered around 6:15 a.m. Monday. At the church the burglars broke into a locked cabinet and the office drop box. A minimal amount of money was stolen. The cost to replace the stained glass window will be at least $2,000.
