Jospehine 'Jo' Pottner
Josephine "Jo" Elizabeth Pottner, 90, of Nevis died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids.
She was born April 10, 1915 to Charles and Emma (Hensel) Kellner on Little Sand Lake, Mantrap Township, near Nevis. She helped at the family resort, Shady Knoll Camp. She graduated from Nevis High School in 1933.
She married Edward Pottner Jan. 28, 1950 in Ne-vis. They lived in Minneapolis until 1973 when they retired to the south shore of Lake Belle Taine. She moved to Heritage Manor apartments in 2002 and to Heritage Living Center in 2004.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Nevis and active in St. Mary's Guild. She also was a volunteer for St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Joe (Ruth) of Lonsdale; daughter, Pat (Greg) Latsch of Mequon, WI; five grand-children and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband and six siblings, Mary Baldwin, Bertha "Birdie" Dale, Theodore "Bob," V.G. "Gus," Eugenia "Jean" Avenson and Charles Robert.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Nevis and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mass of Christian burial: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23 at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Nevis with Rev. Father Duane Pribula officiating.
Active casketbearers: Charles Paul, John and Tom Kellner, Michael Latsch and John Navin.
Internment: Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Cemetery in Nevis.
