Joseph "Joe" A. Kueber, 88, of Park Rapids died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007 at St. Joseph's Area Health Services in Park Rapids.
He was born May 5, 1919 to Herman and Ottilia (Feidler) Kueber in Aneta, ND. In 1926, he moved with his family to Park Rapids and he attended country school at Emmaville. He worked on the family farm and for the Works Progress Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps. In 1945, he purchased a farm in Osage Township.
He married Elizabeth Ann Sheets Sept. 6, 1951 in Park Rapids.
He is survived by two stepchildren, Kay (Ronald) Sjolin and Larry (Janet) Sheets, both of Akeley; seven brothers, George (Marie), Leo, Herman (Pete), Nick (Delores), Marse, Paul (Judy) and Duane (Christine); two sisters, Mary Ferrill and Margaret Hein; several step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Two Inlets with Father Jan Klimek officiating.
Interment: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
