John L. Allen
John "Jack" Lyle Allen, 81, of Palo Verde, AZ died Tuesday, May 9, 2006.
He was born Jan. 25, 1925 to John M. and Zelda (Gitchel) Allen in Park Rapids. He served in the US Marines during World War II. After the war he worked in law enforcement.
He recently served as two-time president of the VFW and was a member of the Elks Lodge, both in Blythe, CA.
He is survived by two sons, Calvin and Timothy; two daughters, Jacqueline Erickson and Ramona Jurich; two stepdaughters, Linda Strate and Sharon Chaing; brother, Ted; sister, Zelda Daniels; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cecelia Hoffner; second wife, Mary Winell Allen; his parents; three brothers, Glen, Voight and Harry; and three sisters, Dona Beaulieu, Laura Johnson and Ida Jaster.
Interment: Monday, May 15 at Palo Verde Cemetery in Arizona.
