Joan A. Hildremyr, 75, of Park Rapids died Monday, June 25, 2007 at Care Age Country Home near Park Rapids.
She was born Sept. 27, 1931 to Ingolf and Olga (Ref-sell) Ness in Wallingford, IA. After graduating from high school, she moved to Sioux City, IA and graduated from St. Lukes College in nurses training in 1952. She worked at Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks.
She married Jonas Hil-dremyr June 15, 1963 in Wa-terloo, IA. They lived in Grand Forks and she was a fulltime homemaker. She later worked part time as a housekeeper and maid for various businesses.
She was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church and was active in Ladies Aid and participated in Bible study groups.
She is survived by a son, Kevin (Kim) of Fargo; daughter, Dawn Hildremyr of Menahga; sister-in-law, Shirley Ness; and a brother-in-law, Dale Holdroyd.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Bernice Holdroyd and Mariam Mortimer; and a brother, Bud.
Funeral: Friday, June 29 at Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks with Rev. John Fick officiating.
Casketbearers: Dave Braaten, Oben Gunderson, Sam Martinson, Jerry An-derson, Jim Weisenberger, and Alvin Holter.
Interment: Memorial Park South, formerly Sun-nywood Gardens Cemetery, in Grand Forks.
