There have been two jet ski incidents on area lakes in the past week causing injuries.

Hubbard County authorities remind drivers about using common sense.

Friday night, Aug. 5, two juvenile females collided with a Casselton man on Potato Lake, said Hubbard County Chief Dep. Scott Parks. One girl suffered a possible broken leg.

The other driver, Ted Chizek, was not injured.

Tuesday, St. Joesph's Emergency Room reported that an 11-year-old boy was yanked off his jet ski by a towrope, then apparently run over with an inner tube.

Parks said the boy's condition or the extent of his injuries were not on the report.

"You have to use caution and common sense when operating jet skis, or any watercraft," Parks said.

And he said especially when minors are operating jet skis, "It's important that kids be instructed in how to use them."
