Jeremy Douglas Landt, 26, of Laporte, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008.
He was born Dec. 27, 1981 in Park Rapids to Douglas and Ruth (Freeman) Landt. He attended school in Park Rapids until the fifth grade, then attended school in Walker, through his junior year. He finished his high school education at Central Lakes College in Brainerd through the post secondary education option. He attended Mankato State University for one year.
He worked a variety of jobs including landscaping, working for Freeman Well Drilling. He was a cook at Applebee's, Guilianis and Jimmy's Family Restaurant. On Aug. 20, 2005 he married Cherri Johnson. They lived in the Walker-Laporte area. He was employed at Landt Auto Body in Walker as assistant manager and auto body technician, and worked as a team with his dad in the daily operations of the business.
He is survived by his wife, Cherri; daughters, Kiana and Kayla; parents, Doug and Ruth Landt; a sister, Jessica (Clayton) Lego; two nephews; grandmothers Ethel Freeman and Nina Landt; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Maurice Freeman and Homer Landt; an aunt; and a stepuncle.

Funeral service: 1 p.m. today (Wednesday), Nov. 12 at Walker Community Center.
Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, Walker.
