Inmate escapes custody

Ryan Paul Petro, 34, of Wadena, escaped from custody during transition to a court appearance at approximately 2:44 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.

According to a Wadena County Sheriff's Office news release, Petro has been in custody since Sept. 28, 2019 for misdemeanor obstructing legal process, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, misdemeanor damage to property, misdemeanor fleeing on foot and felony conditions of release- first-degree nurglary.

Petro is dressed in an orange shirt and is handcuffed. He is considered dangerous. He was last seen in the area of Colfax Ave SE, Wadena. The sheriff said do not approach, if located, and call 911 immediately.
