A 28-year-old St. Paul man was located just after 11 a.m. Friday after spending the night in the woods, the Aitkin County Sheriff's office reported.
Yang Vang had been hunting with a friend on the Aitkin/Pine County line when he became lost in the woods.
The sheriff's office was alerted to the missing hunter at 9:45 p.m. Thursday when his friend showed up at a residence not knowing where he was or how to get back to the residence that they were staying at in Pine County.
Aitkin County deputies searched into the night and then suspended operations until daylight.
Rain/snow prevented aircraft from being used in the search. After searching the area by ATV and using audible warning signals, Vang found his way out to a deputy's squad car.
