Hubbard County is in a frost advisory that stretches from most of North Dakota through northwest and central Minnesota.
According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, a high pressure system will build across the Red River Valley tonight into tomorrow morning.
Windy conditions will gradually diminish today and temperatures will drop to around the freezing range by Tuesday morning.
The Weather Services advises covering sensitive outdoor plants, or bringing them indoors if possible.
The weekend brought an abrupt end to unseasonably mild temperatures. The month of September may go down as the warmest on record despite this latest bout of average temperatures for the region.

Friday afternoon's high of 73 degrees plummeted nearly 30 degrees by Monday morning.
