Hat tricks by Stegeman, Dorn spark Prowlers past Panthers

Haleigh Stegeman and Alie Dorn scored three goals apiece in leading Thief River Falls to a 7-1 win over the Park Rapids-Menahga-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley girls hockey team Tuesday night at the Ted O. Johnson Ice Arena.

Haleigh Stegeman and Alie Dorn scored three goals apiece in leading Thief River Falls to a 7-1 win over the Park Rapids-Menahga-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley girls hockey team Tuesday night at the Ted O. Johnson Ice Arena.

Stegeman's two goals offset a goal by Kaylyn Naeve as Thief River Falls led 2-1 after the first period.

Two goals by Dorn and another by Maddy Aandal in the second period gave the Prowlers a 5-1 lead.

Stegeman and Dorn completed their hat tricks in the third period to end the scoring.

Goalie Bailey Moore made 33 saves for the Panthers, who fell to 2-5 on the season.
