Kindergarten and first-grade students in the Detroit Lakes, Frazee-Vergas and Lake Park-Audubon school districts can receive H1N1 influenza vaccinations for free next week.
In an Instant Alert message sent Friday evening, Detroit Lakes Superintendent Doug Froke said that Becker County Community Health has enough vaccine on hand to cover students in those grades only.
Vaccinations will be in the mist form administered through the nose. It will provided free of charge.
Representative from Becker County Community health will administer the vaccine next week in Detroit Lakes.
Detroit Lakes Public Schools sent a consent form home with kindergarten and first-grade students Friday.
