Megan Lawrence's runner-up 8.55 in vault led the Park Rapids-Nevis gymnastics team in the delayed season opener Thursday night at the Area High School gym.
Micah Richards added a fourth-place 8.45 in vault, but the Panthers were defeated by Little Falls 120.90 to 104.45. The Panthers had their first two dual meets postponed.
Park Rapids surpassed 100 points despite not having Kyja Penning and Annessa Feder in all four events. Both were limited with sprained ankles.
"My goal was to beat 100," said Park Rapids head coach Nate Harsha. "I was happy we broke 100 with two varsity girls not being able to compete at 100 percent."
The Panthers' best event was vault where Gina Gartner (with a 7.50) and Emily Klingenberg (with a 6.10) teamed with Lawrence and Richards for a 30.60 team score.

A 7.30 by Richards, a 7.10 by Lawrence, a 6.30 by Leah Meinert and a 5.30 by Gart-ner led to a 26.00 in floor exercise.
On uneven parallel bars, Lawrence's 6.95, Richards' 6.85, Penning's 6.10 and Feder's 6.05 led to a 25.95.
The Panthers received a 21.90 on balance beam behind Lawrence's 7.00, Richards' 6.70, Kirsten Erickson's 4.25 and Klingenberg's 3.95.
Lawrence finished third in all-around with a 29.60 and Richards was fourth with a 29.30. Little Falls' Teri Stein won the all-around title with a 32.90.
Little Falls received scores of 33.10 in vault, 31.35 in floor, 29.65 on beam and 26.80 on bars.
In the junior varsity meet, Little Falls prevailed 80.80 to 57.20. Leading the Panthers were Jessica Petrie (4.40) and Emily Potts (3.90) in vault; Kirsten Erickson (3.40), Abby Gartner (2.90) and Klingenberg (2.90) on bars; Meinert (4.00) and Katherine Erickson (3.70) on beam; and Kirsten Erickson (5.30) and Potts (4.00) in floor.
The Panthers, who competed against Frazee and Perham at Perham Tuesday night, will host Detroit Lakes Thursday night.
