A season-high team score led the host Panthers to fifth place at the Park Rapids-Nevis Invitational gymnastics meet Saturday afternoon at the Area High School gym.
The Panthers used a 31.75 in vault, a 28.90 in floor exercise, a 28.30 on balance beam and a 27.70 on uneven parallel bars to compile their season-best effort. Grand Rapids claimed the team title with 133.30 points while Little Falls was second with 126.10 points in this six-team meet.
Leading the Panthers in vault were Micah Richards (8.65), Megan Lawrence (8.40), Kyja Penning (8.00), and Annessa Feder and Kirsten Erickson (6.70).
In floor, Penning (7.70), Richards (7.50), Lawrence (7.30) and Feder (6.40) led the way.
Richards (7.30), Lawrence (7.20), Feder (7.10) and Penning (6.70) led Park Rapids on beam.

Penning (7.60) and Richards (7.30) led the Panthers on bars. Lawrence's 6.80 and Feder's 6.00 rounded out the team score.
Richards had an all-around score of 30.75 while Penning (30.00), Lawrence (29.70) and Feder (26.20) followed as the Panthers topped their previous season high of 114.20 points.
Cari Jasken of Prairie Center won the all-around title with a 34.90, including a winning mark of 8.80 on beam and a first-place 8.80 in floor. Winning the other individual events were Bemidji's Amy Hambrecht in vault (9.00) and Grand Rapids' Danni Villineuve on bars (9.00).
