A Grand Forks man pleaded guilty Thursday to having sexual contact with a 5-year-old girl.
James McLeod, 23, struck a plea deal that calls for him to serve four years in prison and 10 years of supervised probation.
McLeod, who remains in custody, is set to be sentenced Dec. 11 on two counts of gross sexual imposition.
McLeod told an officer he had sexual contact with the girl two times in November 2003, according to the officer's report dated May 2009.
In 2004, McLeod was convicted of raping a 17-year-old girl who had passed out at a party. In 2005, he was convicted of two counts of failing to register as a sex offender. The North Dakota attorney general's Web site lists him as a high risk to reoffend.
