City Administrator Ryan Mathisrud gave notice Monday that Tuesday's scheduled city council and Economic Development Authority (EDA) meetings will be held by phone.
Citing relevant paragraphs from Minnesota Statutes in the notice, Mathisrud determined "that in-person meetings of the Park Rapids City Council are not prudent during the COVID-19 health pandemic/peacetime emergency declared by the Governor's Executive Order ... (and that) the presence of the public at the regular meeting location is not feasible."
Therefore, he wrote, the Park Rapids EDA and the council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday by phone. The public may monitor the call by dialing 218-547-0500 and entering participant code 130529. The conference call is limited to 32 participants.
In a similar notice, Mathisrud announced that Monday night's meeting of the Park Rapids Planning Commission will take place by phone at 6 p.m. Members of the public can dial in at 319-527-3513 using participant code 973266#, and the conference call's capacity is unlimited.
