One of the men who robbed the Bremer Bank in Gilby, N.D., last Tuesday was spotted in a Grand Forks liquor store the night before, wearing the same shirt as when he robbed the bank, according to the FBI.
In video surveillance photos released Saturday by the FBI, a black man wearing a shirt with a large numeral .38 on it can be seen in the Hugo's Wine and Spirits Store on 13th Avenue South, at Columbia Road, next to the Hugo's grocery store. A similar-looking man wearing a similar shirt can be seen in video surveillance photos from the Gilby bank.
The photos from the liquor store were taken the evening of May 25, the FBI said. Hugo's officials confirmed the video footage is from their store. The FBI released no other information about the photos, except to say they show one of the bank robbers also seen the next day in video surveillance from the Bremer Bank in Gilby robbed at gunpoint May 26.
The two men took a "substantial" amount of money, some thousands of dollars, from the vault of the bank, while holding bank employees at gunpoint, the FBI said. The two men arrived and left the bank in a stolen Jeep SUV later found not far from Gilby, the FBI said.
