A 20-year-old former Fergus Falls, Minn., resident has died while serving in Afghanistan.
Adam Jacob Novak died Aug. 27 in the Dzardan District of Afghanistan while serving with the 101st Airborne Unit of Fort Campbell, Ky., according to his obituary.
Novak lived in Fergus Falls for 11 years before moving to Wisconsin, where he graduated from high school in 2008, reported the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.
