Dog rescued from Menahga house fire
The Menahga Fire Department responded to a house fire Wednesday.
According to the Wadena County Sheriff's Office, the fire was reported at approximately 9:10 p.m. at 17 Elm Ave. NE in Menahga.
The renter of the residence arrived home to find the home filled with smoke. The news release states the fire department extinguished the fire and rescued the renter's dog, which was located inside the residence. The dog was given oxygen by a Menahga First Responder and later showed no signs of injury from the fire or smoke. No other injuries were reported.
Agencies assisting at the scene were the Menahga Police Department, Park Rapids Fire
Department, Tri-County Ambulance and the State Fire Marshal.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
