Finally! Snow comes to Hubbard County

Park Rapids is finally getting some snow, maybe up to four inches.

     That’s good news for snow sports. Here’s the extended forecast:

• Snow. High near 26. Southeast wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
• TonightSnow likely, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy, with a low around 6. Blustery, with a light and variable wind becoming northwest 17 to 22 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• WednesdayPartly sunny, with a high near 8. Wind chill values as low as -17. Blustery, with a northwest wind 20 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
• Wednesday NightPartly cloudy, with a low around -15. Wind chill values as low as -31. Blustery, with a north northwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 8 to 13 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.
