A 31-year-old Fergus Falls woman was left with substantial internal injuries when she was rolled over by a car she was trying to start.

Alysha Cassman had been driving south on county road in Otter Tail County delivering newspapers when her 1992 Cadillac stopped running. She went under the vehicle in an attempt to get it started again. As Cassman’s car was not fully in park mode, it moved forward over her. According to an Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office report, there were four children in the car, and two of them stopped the vehicle and put it in park.

Cassman and the children were transported to the Lake Region Healthcare emergency room by Ringdahl Ambulance. Cassman was taken to Fargo for further treatment.
